Import your transaction history

Bring in spreadsheets, screenshots or pasted text without a required template.

Reviewed October 6, 2026

Choose your source

Open Import from the app or Transactions. Supported files include CSV, TSV, TXT, XLSX, OFX, QFX, QBO, PNG and JPEG. Files can be up to 10 MB; screenshots up to 4 MB.

Templates are optional. Your source should be organized enough to identify individual transactions. Export workbooks containing formulas as values before importing. Macro-enabled workbooks are not supported.

  1. Choose a file or paste a table or organized transaction lines.
  2. For spreadsheets, choose the worksheet and header row.
  3. Customize the field mapping, destination and relevant date or number conventions.
  4. Review the proposed records, errors and duplicates.
  5. Confirm the selected records. The completion page shows the result.

Your records stay under your control

Imports create new transaction records. They do not silently merge into or update existing records. Importing historical transactions does not replay historical balance changes.

You can use standard imports without AI. The optional CSV template is available on the import screen for convenience.
